Karl Oxford

Karl works at a strategic level of policy design and programme development for communities, nationally and locally. His background has been in various aspects of business development and community regeneration – working across the sectors of business, government, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) – building key and effective partnerships of mutual interest.

Working across a diversity of communities and organisations – Karl is experienced in organisational development, charity and third sector support & development, community regeneration & renewal; also managing strategic programmes and supporting a wide range of communities of place, communities of interest and minority groups.

Karl has a strong passion for building business2business relationships. This includes across trade sectors such as food, the cultural and creative industries and also exploring opportunities for international business linking in regions such as Africa and the Caribbean.

Karl is the Executive Director of Palm Cove Society CIC, where he leads on enterprise and enrichment activities. In addition to this role, he serves as a board director of the national charity Voice 4 Change England and Yorkshire Sports Foundation. He is actively involved in several regional strategic policy-shaping committees, including those within the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and the West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.

Karl is also a member of the Lloyds Bank National Black Business Advisory Committee and the Leeds Lifted Board, which supports financial investment into female founders. Furthermore, he is the Founder and Director of African and Caribbean Business Ventures and Culture City Radio, as well as a founding member of the Black Business Consortium – West Yorkshire (BBC-WY).
